I’m practicing — just smile at those eager, cute, young hopefuls and say, “No, thanks.” Sorry about your new floor mats. That’s a lesson for all to internalize — trust our own judgment.
Exactly! The pitch to upgrade (or in the case of the floormats, downgrade) can be overwhelmingly loud, though upgrading may not always actually improve the quality of your life. I’m internalizing the lesson as fast as I can!
